Jaunumi no "Bandmaster’s Flight"

Rīgas producentu un dīdžeju duets, ko veido DJ Rudd (Rūdolfs Budze) un Andis Ansons turpmāk dēvēs sevi par "Bandmaster".

Komentējot apvienības nosaukuma maiņu, Dj Rudd ir lakonisks: "Paliekam vecāki gan paši, gan mūsu klausītāji, tapēc nosaukumu saīsinājām, lai vieglāk atcerēties!"

Līdz ar nosaukuma maiņu "Bandmaster" dodas nelielā klubu tūrē. 7. martā Saldus klubā "Pmk", 13. martā Rīgā "Meta-kafe" un 21. martā Viļņas bārā "Woo" duets kopā ar Kristīnu Dobeli no Liepājas grupas "The Briefing" sniegs apmēram 30 minūšu garas dzīvās performances. Interesanti, ka iepriekšējā dzīvā uzstāšanās vēl kā "Bandmaster’s Flight" notika tieši pirms četriem gadiem Viļņas klubā "Gravity".

Izmantojot savu vairāk kā piecu gadu pieredzi producēšanā un remiksēšanā, "Bandmaster" izlēmuši šogad ierakstīt debijas albumu. Darbs pie tā jau sākts un drīzumā līdz klausītājiem nonāks arī pirmais singls no albuma, kuram dots darba nosaukums "Teacher’s Lounge". Albuma ierakstam tiks pieaicināti dažādi latviešu un ārzemju viesmākslinieki, tostarp arī jau iepriekšpieminētās grupas "The Briefing" dalībnieki.

Pirmo atzinību Dj Rudd un Anda Ansona apvienība guva 2004. gadā ar singlu "Samuel Alone", ko vinila formātā izdeva "house" mūzikas aprindās atzītā dīdžeja Bogdana Tarana ierakstu kompānija "Amber Muse". Laika gaitā "Bandmaster" stilistiski ir izmainījuši skanējumu un jaunais materiāls būs ieturēts "broken beats" žanrā. Līdz šim projekts izdevis savus skaņdarbus un remiksus gan Latvijā, gan Lietuvā, Lielbritānijā, Vācijā un ASV. Dueta dalībnieki katrs atsevišķi darbojušies arī latviešu popmūzikas lauciņā. Rūdolfs Budze spēlējis taustiņus grupās "Astro’n’out" un "Otra Puse", kā arī bijis līdzproducents "Astro’n’out" debijas albumam "Kuš Kuš", kas uzvarējis "Labākā Roka albuma" nominācijā Latvijas Mūzikas Ierakstu Gada Balvā 2006. Savukārt Andis Ansons darbojies grupā "Hospitāļu Iela" un piedalījies viņu pēdējā albuma "Pūķis" ierakstā.
